Firefly inspired action-packed LARP.

Is it even possible. How? This can’t be me, can it? The short scene is replaying over and over in my mind. Me, one of the reavers, killing some innocent women and then meeting with others still covered by her fresh blood. But I am not a reaver now …

A short outdoor LARP set in the Firefly universe. We were on one of the outer planets, far from the alliance’s influence. The story started with two ships crashing near the station.

For a sleepy hole such as this one, this was quite an exciting event. Well, until we found out that they brought a reaver battleship with themselves.

What the hell? What do you think of yourselves? If there weren’t the reavers around you would be dead now. We needed him to get out of this fuck up. I don’t care he was wanted for some snuggling or whatever, you had no right to kill him.

The LARP content was a mostly action-packed exploration of surroundings. There were quite a few important locations necessary for the survival of, well, anyone. The reavers were attacking often and most of the time, they got someone.

The death by reavers wasn’t really death. First few times you just have to survive a heavy injury that a doctor could heal. Once these injuries we too much for the character it became mad and join the reavers. This way death wasn’t final and allowed the player to continue in the game.

Haha, let the fun begin. Now I am again one of you and we will let the human know what mistake they made when they decided to confront us.

When you joined the reavers, you started playing bingo. The reavers had bingo with funny quests to achieve. Among the quests were things such as die in the flight or score a base with an old ball. This is an idea I haven’t seen before in LARP and I believe it can bring quite a lot to otherwise boring job of the action based NPCs.

Overall it was well spent afternoon and I hope to see more short action-packed laid around the place.
